Lauren Watkins
About
Lauren Watkins is a Nashville-born country singer-songwriter known for her blend of traditional country grit and modern pop-inflected hooks. Raised in "Music City," she spent her teenage years performing in local honky-tonks before attending the University of Mississippi, where she developed her sharp songwriting style. After graduating, she returned to Nashville and signed with Big Loud Records and Songs & Daughters in 2023, releasing her debut EP, Introducing: Lauren Watkins, that same year. Her music is characterized by authentic storytelling and a distinctive "Tennessee limestone gravel" vocal quality, drawing inspiration from a mix of classic outlaws like Willie Nelson and contemporary stars like Miranda Lambert. Watkins has quickly risen in the country scene, releasing her debut full-length album, The Heartbroken Record, in 2024. She remains highly active, consistently touring and releasing new music, including her sophomore project In a Perfect World in 2025.
