Imperial Triumphant is an American avant-garde metal band formed in 2005 in New York City. The band was founded by guitarist and vocalist Zachary Ezrin, who sought to create a unique sound blending black metal with jazz and avant-garde influences. Their music is characterized by dissonant, experimental sonics, technical black metal, and neo-classical elements. Since their formation, Imperial Triumphant has undergone several lineup changes and recorded for various labels, including Gilead Media and Century Media. Their discography includes albums such as "Abominamentvm" (2012), "Abyssal Gods" (2015), "Vile Luxury" (2018), "Alphaville" (2020), "Spirit of Ecstasy" (2022), and "Goldstar" (2025). The band's visual aesthetic often features black robes and golden masks, drawing inspiration from dystopian themes and urban decay.
