Imperial was a technical death metal and grindcore band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, that was a significant part of the local extreme music scene in the late 2000s. Known for their high-speed technicality and brutal delivery, the band released two notable full-length albums: 'The Shapes of Things to Come' (2007) and 'The Art of Murder' (2010). The latter was recorded at Belle City Sound and further established them as a force in the Midwestern underground metal circuit. The band featured members who were active in various other Milwaukee-area projects and were known for their intense live performances at venues such as The Rave and the Metal Grill.
