Identity Crisis

About

Identity Crisis was a Philippine new wave band formed in 1986 in Manila. The original lineup included Lenny Llapitan (keyboards), Resty Cornejo (guitar), Buddy Arceo (vocals), Arleigh "Bogs" Ambrosio (bass), Marvin Mendiola (drums), and Carla Abaya (vocals). They were known for their distinctive new wave sound, blending elements of gothic rock, Middle Eastern, classical, and jazz influences, complemented by Abaya's gothic vocals. Their debut album, "Tale of Two," released on April 4, 1988, featured singles like "Imagining Oktober" and "My Sanctuary," which received regular airplay. The band disbanded in 1990 after recording their second album, "Water Came Running." In 2011, they reunited for a one-off concert, with bassist Tabs Tabuñar stepping in for the late Arleigh Ambrosio.
