About
Goochems is the musical moniker of Chicago-based musician and DJ Sam Canfield. Initially known for his 1-minute "chronically online" hyperpop mini DJ sets on TikTok, where he amassed over 5,800 followers and 380,000 likes, Goochems has recently pivoted towards developing a unique sound he dubs 'electronic shoegaze.' This genre-blending style merges the dreamy, atmospheric qualities of shoegaze with the energetic, experimental elements of electronic music. His discography includes singles like "shoegaze909," "wait for uuu," and "barrel of soil," showcasing his innovative approach to music production. In July 2025, Goochems released his first EP, "unveiling," featuring six tracks that further explore his distinctive sound. As of April 2026, Goochems remains active in the music scene, with recent performances and ongoing releases.
