About

God Forbid is an American metalcore band formed in East Brunswick, New Jersey in 1996. The band is known for blending the aggression of American death metal with melodic elements, often associated with the New Wave of Swedish Death Metal. They gained prominence in the late 90s and 2000s, releasing several acclaimed albums through labels like Century Media and Victory Records. After an initial breakup in 2013, the band reunited in 2022 and has been semi-active since.
