False was a black metal band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, formed in 2010. They released their self-titled debut 12" in 2011 and a split with Barghest in 2012, both on Gilead Media. The band disbanded in June 2020 following sexual assault allegations against guitarist Jimmy Claypool.
