Emo Night Brooklyn is a late-night DJ-based dance party that celebrates emo and pop-punk music. Founded by lifelong friends Ethan Maccoby and Alex Badanes, the first event took place in January 2015 at the Williamsburg bar Cameo. The party quickly became a New York staple, expanding to larger venues like Brooklyn Bowl and Irving Plaza, and has since spread to over 40 cities in the U.S. and internationally to London and Berlin.
