Doomhammer was a prominent DIY hardcore and thrash metal band hailing from Milwaukee and Watertown, Wisconsin. Formed around 2005 as a reaction to the local metalcore scene, the band aimed to return to traditional hardcore roots. Fronted by vocalist Jon, the group became known for its high-energy performances and a steadfast "working-class" DIY ethos. Over a decade-long career, they released several digital and physical records, including the full-lengths "Cutting The Dead Weight" and "Beyond The Pale." In 2015, they released the LP "Reclaiming Valhalla" through Crowd Control Media, which served as both a compilation of their history and a showcase of new material. The band was a staple of the Wisconsin underground scene until approximately 2017, when members transitioned to other projects, most notably the melodic Oi! band Empire Down.
