About
Core DJ Kev, born Kevin Nichols, is a veteran DJ and cultural pillar of the Milwaukee music scene. Originally from the Englewood neighborhood of Chicago, he moved to Milwaukee in 1993 and began his career performing at local house parties. He rose to national prominence as the first DJ to carry the 'Core DJ' title, a prestigious designation within the Core DJs network founded by Tony Neal. Kev is best known as the official tour DJ for the multi-platinum rapper Juvenile (The Hot Boys). Locally, he is highly respected for his versatility, serving as the official DJ for 'Flat Out Friday' and performing at major events like Harley-Davidson’s 120th Anniversary Homecoming. He is a mentor to numerous emerging DJs in Milwaukee and celebrated his 25th anniversary in the industry in 2025.
