Desperate Electric

About

Desperate Electric is a self-described 'power disco' duo consisting of Kayti Korte (vocals, bass) and Ben Morris (vocals, keys, guitar, production). The project originated at Montana State University in early 2018 as a four-piece rock/soul outfit called DASH. Following a shift toward electronic production and a transition to a duo format, they rebranded as Desperate Electric in February 2020. Known for their high-energy live performances and 'cosmo-tronic' production, the duo lives in a van and tours full-time across the United States. They have become a regular fixture in the Milwaukee and Midwest underground scenes, frequently performing at venues such as Cactus Club and Bremen Café.
