Derek Hough is an American professional dancer, choreographer, actor, singer, and television personality, born on May 17, 1985, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He gained prominence as a professional dancer on the ABC dance competition series "Dancing with the Stars," where he won a record-breaking six times with his celebrity partners. Hough has also appeared as an actor on stage, starring in the West End premiere of "Footloose: The Musical" at the Novello Theatre and in the 2015 New York Spring Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. In 2016, he starred in NBC's "Hairspray Live!" alongside Jennifer Hudson, Ariana Grande, Martin Short, and Harvey Fierstein.
