Cynabare Urne is a Finnish death metal trio from Helsinki, formed in 2014 by veteran musicians with histories in acts like Colosseum, Horizon of the Mute, and Black Crucifixion. The band is recognized for their heavy, atmospheric, and occult-themed sound, which draws inspiration from classic Finnish death metal as well as blackened and cavernous styles. They initially gained traction in the underground with the EPs 'Fire the Torches' (2016) and 'In the Cremation Ground' (2018). In 2020, the band released their debut full-length, 'Obsidian Daggers and Cinnabar Skulls,' through Helter Skelter Productions, earning acclaim for its dark, primitive production and crushing riffs.
