Calvin Harris, born Adam Richard Wiles in 1984 in Dumfries, Scotland, is a globally renowned DJ, record producer, and songwriter. He began his musical journey as a teenager, recording bedroom demos by 1999 and releasing his first club singles under the alias Stouffer in 2002. After a brief period in London, he returned to Dumfries and gained popularity via MySpace, leading to a contract with EMI. His debut album, 'I Created Disco' (2007), featured hits like 'Acceptable in the 80s.' Harris eventually transitioned from electroclash to mainstream EDM and pop, becoming one of the highest-earning DJs in the world with numerous chart-topping collaborations involving artists like Rihanna, Dua Lipa, and Ellie Goulding.
