Cabaret Voltaire was an English music group formed in Sheffield in 1973, initially composed of Stephen Mallinder, Richard H. Kirk, and Chris Watson. They were pioneers in industrial music, known for their experimental use of DIY electronics and tape recorders, as well as Dada-influenced performance art. Over time, they incorporated elements of synthpop, techno, house, and funk into their sound.
