Buena Cara

About

Buena Cara is a three-piece emo band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, that describes their sound as "sad boys, rad noise." The group, which includes guitarist and vocalist Ricky Bravo, blends elements of Midwest emo, punk, and indie rock characterized by intricate guitar work, driving rhythms, and introspective lyrics. They first emerged in May 2020 with the release of their EP "How Sweet It Was," followed by the single "Security Cameras" in 2021. The band released their self-titled debut full-length album in December 2024, which received local critical acclaim for its artistic evolution and sound reminiscent of bands like PUP and Tiny Moving Parts. They are a staple of the Milwaukee underground scene, frequently performing at local venues such as the Cactus Club and X-Ray Arcade.
