Bootcamp
About
Bootcamp is a prominent Midwest hardcore punk band that formed in May 2023. Although based in Iowa City, IA, they are deeply integrated into the Milwaukee and Wisconsin underground music scenes, frequently performing at regional festivals like the Milwaukee Hardcore Summer Jam. The band consists of vocalist Juliette, guitarist Dolly, bassist Molly, and drummer Oliver Weilein, who also serves as an Iowa City Council member. Known for their fast, aggressive, and politically charged sound, they released their debut EP 'Time's Up' (also known as 'Bootcamp 23') and the 7-inch 'Controlled Burn' on Pokeys Records before signing with Convulse Records for their 2025 full-length debut, also titled 'Time's Up'. Their music often addresses social justice, environmental issues, and feminist/queer perspectives within the hardcore community.
