Blackfoot
About
Blackfoot was a localized psychedelic and hard rock power trio active in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, during the late 1960s and early 1970s. They were a prominent fixture in the city's underground rock scene, frequently performing at iconic regional venues such as the Electric Ballroom and the Stone Toad. The band is primarily remembered by collectors of obscure regional rock for their rare 1970 single, "Gotta Get It" / "Why," released on the independent Milwaukee-based label S&R Records (S&R 102). Their music was characterized by heavy, fuzz-driven guitar work and a high-energy style typical of the post-Cream power trio era. They are distinct from and unrelated to the more famous Southern rock band of the same name from Jacksonville, Florida.
