Black Label Society
About
Black Label Society is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1998 by guitarist and vocalist Zakk Wylde. The band was initially named "Hell's Kitchen," but due to trademark issues, they changed it to Black Label Society, inspired by Wylde's fondness for Johnnie Walker Black Label Scotch whisky. Their debut album, "Sonic Brew," was released in 1999, showcasing a blend of heavy metal and southern rock influences. Over the years, the band has released eleven studio albums, two live albums, two compilation albums, one EP, and three video albums. Their music is characterized by heavy guitar riffs, soulful melodies, and themes of personal struggles, war, and life experiences. The current lineup includes Zakk Wylde (vocals, lead guitar, piano), John DeServio (bass), Dario Lorina (rhythm guitar), and Jeff Fabb (drums).
