About

Bizhiki is a Wisconsin-based musical collective that fuses traditional Ojibwe powwow singing and hand drumming with indie rock, electronic soundscapes, and ambient production. The group was formed in 2019 by Ojibwe vocalists Dylan Bizhikiins Jennings and Joe Rainey alongside multi-instrumentalist Sean Carey (S. Carey) of Bon Iver. Their work, including the 2024 debut album 'Unbound,' explores themes of Indigenous identity, community, and cultural revitalization through a contemporary musical lens.
