Azassin
About
Azassin (often stylized as Azzazzins) is a Toronto-based music project formed in 2024. The act is known for an aggressive and raw fusion of grunge, punk, and noise music, characterized by heavy, distorted basslines, feral guitar riffs, and gritty vocals. Drawing influence from 1980s hardcore punk and 1990s grunge (such as Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, and Nirvana), the project maintains a strong DIY ethos, self-recording its material and designing independent merchandise. Despite its Canadian origins, Azassin is deeply integrated into the Milwaukee/Wisconsin underground music scene, frequently performing at regional venues like the High Noon Saloon and Miramar Theatre, and collaborating with Milwaukee-based bass artists like Orbiix and the Bass Barn collective.
