About
Aseethe is a minimalist doom and sludge metal trio known for their seismic weight, atmospheric drone, and gripping tension. Formed in 2007 in Iowa City, the band consists of guitarist/vocalist Brian Barr, his brother Danny Barr on bass/vocals, and drummer Eric Diercks. They are a prominent force in the Midwestern underground scene, having released several albums through the influential label Thrill Jockey, including 'Hopes of Failure', 'Throes', and 'The Cost' (2024). Their sound is characterized by tectonic riffs and a visceral, exploratory approach to heavy music.
