Arsis

About

Arsis is an American technical melodic death metal band formed in 2000 in Virginia Beach, Virginia, by James Malone and Mike Van Dyne while they were students at the Berklee College of Music. The band is widely recognized for their intricate guitar harmonies and high-speed technical precision, a sound pioneered on their landmark 2004 debut 'A Celebration of Guilt'. Over the years, Arsis has released several highly regarded albums through labels like Willowtip and Nuclear Blast Records, including 'A Diamond for Disease' and 'Visitant'. While the lineup has seen numerous changes, Malone has remained the band's primary songwriter and creative lead.
