About

Alice in Chains is an American rock band formed in Seattle in 1987. They became one of the most successful bands of the 1990s grunge movement, distinguished by their heavy, doom-laden sound and the unique vocal harmonies between Layne Staley and Jerry Cantrell. In 1991, they were the opening act for the North American leg of the 'Clash of the Titans' tour, performing alongside thrash metal giants Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax.
