Absolutely (often stylized as ABSOLUTELY) was a cornerstone trio of the Milwaukee underground music scene throughout the 2010s. Composed of George Ananchev (guitar/vocals), Andy McGuire (bass), and Charles Hosale (drums), the band developed a reputation for a sound that was both abrasive and intricately melodic, drawing strong stylistic comparisons to acts like Unwound, Fugazi, and fellow Milwaukeeans Call Me Lightning. Their debut full-length, 'Learns To Love Mistakes' (2011), was recorded by Shane Hochstetler at Howl Street Recordings and established them as a fixture in the city's basement punk scene. They followed this with 'Cannot Find' in 2014 and their most complex effort, the instrumental-leaning 'Plays Pillory Crown Shyness' in 2018. Following their final release, the members have remained active in the Milwaukee creative community, with members transitioning into the art-punk project Angelica.
