A Shroud Cast Over was an influential experimental screamo and post-hardcore band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, active in the mid-2000s. The band was a key part of the city's DIY underground scene, known for complex, chaotic arrangements and emotive performances. Notable members included Nick Sanborn, who later gained international acclaim as half of the electronic duo Sylvan Esso and as a member of Megafaun. The band's output primarily consisted of self-released demos and EPs before they disbanded around 2006.
